I am learning to know addition groups within 5. I am playing my number cruncher game where I have to recognise additions to 5.

"4 + 1=5 and 2 +3=5 if you flip the numbers it is still the same like 3 +2 =5" said Praetorian

Reading

I am learning to match up capital letters to lowercase letters. They look different but have the same sound. Here I am playing my match up game!

"I can match up capitals to lowercase! I can do the whole alphabet" said Praetorian

Writing

I am learning to write tidy so that anyone can read my stories. Look at my letters and how they are sitting on the line.

"I am learning to write tidy" said Praetorian

Ladybird Art

We learnt how to make a collage. We layered pieces of paper onto each other to create our ladybirds on leaves. I wrote a story to go along with it all about my ladybird!

"I am eating my leaf" said Praetorian

Maths

I am learning to add on from 5. Here I am playing my maths game activity Mr Potato Head. I roll the dice and add that number on from 5.

"I add on from 5" said Praetorian.

Reading

I am learning to sound out three letter words. Here I am writing my three letter words down. I found all the words that rhyme together.

"I can write my rhyming words down. They all sound the same" said Praetorian.

Writing

I can publish my story writing and illustrate my work. In our big book we learnt about the life cycle of a chicken. Here is my chicken.

"My story matches my picture" said Praetorian.

Showcase

We are learning to grow our own plants. We know it needs sun and water to grow. Take a look at what 4 weeks of growing looks like! 

"Plants grow with water" said Praetorian.

I am learning to draw a portrait. I am learning what colours are appropriate to use when colouring in.

"I know my skin needs tan colour and my lips are red so I use the red pastel" said Praetorian. 

Reading

I am learning to sound out new words by myself and to look at the pictures to help me read unknown words.

"Pictures show me what the book is" said Praetorian. 

Maths

I am learning to instantly recognise numbers before and after.

"9 is before 10" said Praetorian.

Writing

I am learning to use my alphabet card to help me with beginning sounds with my writing.

"The yellow card shows the letters when I am writing it helps me write the letters" said Praetorian.

Swimming

I am having such a great time in the pool! I am learning to kick with a kick board!
